Choreographer: Jiri Kylian
Energetic, bold, but also a work that reaches out for the extremes, as if it’s testing what it can get away with. However, in this sense it feels freeing as if the choreography has been purposed for precisely this reason.
It’s a tribute to youth with all its craziness and wide-ranging moods. It’s about the body, how it dances and moves, and how it expresses the emotions that are attached to it. And finally it’s about just having fun, cutting loose, and simply put…having a party.
This work is pure, infectious, and sometimes unexpected. But isn’t the unexpected what we’d expect from this type of clarity of purpose in choreography? If you are a Cedar Lake and Kylian fan, I hope you’ll like then share this with others.
