Growing up in the small Greek town of Lerapetra on the island of Crete in Greece, Andonis Foniadakis, choreographer and dancer, has danced and worked with some of the world’s most renowned companies and artists such as Lyon Opera Ballet, Bejart Ballet Lausanne, Bern Ballet, William Forsythe, Bill T. Jones, and Ohad Naharin.
Foniadakis studied dance at a local school in Lerapetra, then later at the State Dance School in Athens. His extensive training included classical ballet, contemporary, theater, improvisation, and the martial art of Kendo.
Andonis Foniadakis received the highly respected Maria Callas Scholarship which allowed him to study at L’Ecole-Atelier Rudra-Bejart Lausanne, Switzerland from 1992-1994. Please like then share this video with others.
